Havens Petting Farm prides itself on its family friendly and educational atmosphere. Join our crew by becoming a Farm Hand Volunteer. Must be at least 14 years old to volunteer.

All volunteer shifts are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Farm Hand Volunteers help in the farm’s public spaces.  Volunteers who are accepted make a commitment to a weekly two hour shift for at least two months. Job possibilities are listed below and may vary based on the needs of the business.

• Haymow Handler: Dig in the corn, swing from the rope or crawl in the hay tunnel. This area is a favorite amongst parents and kids. Help keep our haymow safe and clean.
• Feed Cone Concessions: Selling and preparing feed cones will earn you a few extra nuzzles from our local residents.
• Barnyard Buckaroo: Daily care is a must at Havens. Farm Hands help maintain pens, feed and water animals, and keep walkways clean prior and during hours.

Volunteering for special events can be a meaningful experience for your work, civic, or educational group.

2. Clear a background check. 
3. Interview in person, on zoom, or over the phone 
4. Attend an in person volunteer orientation. 
5. Sign up for volunteer shifts through Sign Up Genius 
6. Show up for the shifts you have signed up for. You will have training on your first shift and during additional shifts as needed.
